About Denise

Author, Educator, Consultant

Denise Jendusa is an award-winning writer, educator, consultant, and former healthcare executive. Her newest crime novel, NEEDLE OF DECEPTION, celebrates marginal, often under-represented characters who turn danger into self-discovery. With innocent people caught in suspenseful webs of murder, intrigue, and betrayal, her stories showcase the power of human resilience in conquering evil.

Denise has written dozens of published magazine articles, plays, and served as a magazine managing editor. In the world of academia, she taught theatre as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin. She also taught high school fine arts and creative writing. As a healthcare executive, she developed business and educational partnerships working as the Vice President of Programs, Services, and Advocacy for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Director of the Milwaukee County Healthcare Plan, and President of the management consulting firm, Jendusa Associates. A recipient of awards for both distinguished community service and writing excellence, she has been the keynote speaker at national conferences highlighting exemplary community healthcare systems and issues framing educational reform.

When not plotting her next novel on her trusty yellow legal pad while sipping wine on her terrace, she can be found frolicking with her writing sidekick and foot warmer – her collie Emmie, or traveling to visit her fabulous children in Oregon and Dublin, Ireland. A resident of Wisconsin, Denise is a member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association, Mystery Writers of America, Wisconsin Writers Association, the Author’s Guild, and serves as the VP of Programs for Sisters in Crime (Wisconsin).
